Piechowice

Huta Julia is one of the few existing crystal glass manufacturers in Poland today. It is well worth a visit during a holiday in a hotel in the Karkonosze Mountains.

The historic factory is located in the heart of the Karkonosze Mountains, in Piechowice near Szklarska Poręba, and is open to visitors. Here you can admire the manual process of producing glass masterpieces and take part in workshops where you can learn the secrets of the glassmaking art.

This unique place shows visitors the entire production cycle of beautiful crystal products. The journey begins at the glass furnace, where sand is melted into glass and shaped before the eyes of the tour participants into goblets, decanters, jugs, baubles, lamps, etc. The cycle ends at the point where the grinding is done in this very hard material. It is worth getting a souvenir from this place, as the Julia Glassworks is known all over the world.
